iPhone Security: Other Security Setting Than FaceID

settings are also important for the security purpose of your iPhone and personal data. Require Passcode Timeout

You will have a few options under this setting. If you have set it for 15 minutes, it will not require a passcode every time you unlock your device. It will require the passcode every 15 minutes. You should always choose the least time possible for you. If you select immediately, then it will always require the passcode to enter your device. Most importantly, this option will only show up when you have a disabled face ID or touch ID. It is also an important setting that you need to enable on your phone. Hide Notification Previews

This setting is suggested for everyone. Go to notification settings and tap on show previews. After that, select the never or when unlocked option. If you have selected it to always, then whenever you get a text message or DM, it will show up on the lock screen.

System Location Services

This setting can be found, under the privacy section on the setting app. Go under the location services and scroll down to system services. After that, you will get a list of system services that use the location of your iPhone device. These services use the location service without displaying any notification. Finally, scroll down and tick the status bar icon option. Now you will get an icon when these services use your location service.

Password

Under this section, you will get the different passwords that you have saved for different websites and apps on your device. Click on the security recommendations and enable the detect compromised passwords option. If you use the same password for different websites or services then it will show the list of services as high priority passwords that you need to change.

It also provides you with the ability to change the password under this menu. You can also see the username and password by tapping on the service.

Find My iPhone

It should be always turned on your device. Along with this, you will also get two other options. One finds my network, and the second is to send the last location. By enabling Find My Network, you can locate this device through it. The second option will automatically send the last location of your iPhone device when the battery is low. As a result, it will be helpful if your iPhone is low on battery and you have lost it somewhere.

Wi-Fi Networks

Apple has added a new settings option under the Wi-Fi section. Firstly, go to your Wi-Fi networks and tap on the information button or tap on the little icon. After that, you will get an option named a private address.

Using a private network will reduce the tracking of your iPhone device. It is also an important feature for the privacy of your data. When you are connected to a network, turn this feature on.

Conclusion

These are some important security and privacy settings on your iPhone that you should check and change right now. These settings are better for the security as well as privacy of your data on an iPhone device.
