James Bond No Time to Die Becomes the Highest Grossing Pandemic-Era Hit at Int’l Box Office

Made with a hefty budget of $250 million, James Bond No Time to Die is now the highest-grossing pandemic-era hit at the international box office by beating F9.

James Bond No Time to Die is setting new international box office records daily. And the recent addition to the records of this already hit film is to become the highest-grossing film of the pandemic at the global box office. From being the first movie to change its release date because of the pandemic, this movie dealt with multiple release dates. Also, from the various parts of delay, one was the state of box offices where the performance of James Bond movies had been very well.



James Bond No Time to Die earned $55.2 million on its domestic box office opening release. Further, this collection is lesser than the last three Craig James Bond movies. The film has grossed $150 million on its domestic box office, making it the lowest-earning one from Daniel Craig’s era. However, while looking at the global box office, the success story of No Time to Die seems precisely the opposite. James Bond No Time to Die opening weekend earning have already sat a pandemic box office record. This new part of the James Bond movie has earned $119.1 million from 54 markets. Making James Bond No Time to Die, the biggest movie in the UK. The film has also left behind Mamma Mia box office collecting to set the new pandemic box office records.


NO TIME TO DIE BECOMES ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL JAMES BOND MOVIES


According to Fandom, James Bond No Time to Die has already surpassed F9 earnings with $558 million at the international box office. Further, this makes it one of the most successful James Bond movies and the highest-grossing movie since March 2020. Grossing over $708 worldwide, including the grosses of Casino Royale and the Quantum of Solace, No Time to Die is leaving no stone unturned.


Becoming the fourth highest-grossing film of 2021, James Bond No Time to Die is just behind The Battle of Lake Changjin ($885 million), Hi, Mom ($848), and F9 ($721 million). The Chinese release dates of No Time to Die and F9 also efficiently helped the movies become a global success. Still, after being the highest-grossing film of the pandemic era, No Time to Die didn’t get the expected domestic box office success.


With the onset of the pandemic, many Hollywood movies struggled to find a Chinese release date, including the three recent MCU films. However, these movies failed to receive any release date and have to go on without them. Furthermore, movies including Jungle Cruise and Luca received them months later after their release dates in the domestic market. Also, The Matrix will be hitting HBO Max the same day as the theatres; Spider-Man: No Way Home is all set to be the last film of 2021. However, spectators are expecting Spider-Man: No Way Home to break its records. And to also beat the ongoing global box office hit, James Bond No Time to Die.
